This is a continuation on the traction alopecia series. Make sure you read about traction alopecia and some remedies I have tried in order to fully follow along. In this post I will share with you my results using Placent Activ hair growth serum to re-grow my thinning hairline.
What is Placent Activ hair serum?
Made in Italy, Placent Activ Serum is a hair growth product. It is based on natural (animal) placenta extract; the main components are silk proteins and amino acids. This serum is meant to restore your hair to its natural wellbeing (this is exactly what it says on the label).
Placent Activ works by providing your hair with the nutrients it requires to grow as best as it can. It’s suitable for all hair types (natural or relaxed), but is primarily meant for thin brittle hair. The product does not contain parabens, silicones, estragen, and gestragens. In its simplest form, Placent Activ hair serum is “food for your hair follicles”.

Application and results
The application is pretty simple, all you have to do is apply and massage serum to your scalp every 2 days.
Results: When I get bought this product I was a little skeptical about it, I thought it would not work, but it never hurts to try! I snapped my Before-photos (like I always do), after the first month, snapped more photos for comparison. I could not believe my eyes! The difference in the photos was undeniable. My hair was growing back like it used to (before I had damaged it with tight styles). The small bald patches that were filling in, my edges were slightly fuller too!
Previously, my damaged hairline was slow to grow, but since I have been using Placent Activ, my hairline is growing at a normal pace as it once did; the bald patches I once had are filling in and some show signs of new growth, small tiny baby hairs coming through!
I just had to share this with you all; I am not exaggerating so I have created a gallery of before and after photo so that you all can see for yourselves.

Important: This serum will not work to restore severely damaged hairlines where scarring has occurred (smooth shiny areas of baldness). It works best for early stages of hair loss, and areas with thin broken hair.
You can find Placent Activ on Facebook and Instagram.
Wait, there’s more!
This is only the first month. As I write this, I am completing month 2. I will share with you my full results after the third month. If you do end up trying this serum for yourself, do share with me your results.

Do you use the serum alongside your other products?

Hi Diana! Yes, I use serum along with other products. The serum itself is very liquidy, much like water. So I apply the serum on my scalp every 2 days. The serum is the only thing that I apply directly on my scalp, all other products I apply strictly on the hair alone.

You mentioned balding, how do I tell if am balding or it’s just broken hair

hi Jane. You can examine your scalp. If the spot where the hair isn’t growing has a very smooth feel and a shiny appearance, and hair hasn’t grown on that part for over a year, then it’s probably balding.
If your hair is simply broken, it will usually grows back in that spot within 6 months.

Hi Charity. For the start, you try only the serum and track how you respond to it.
